About

9 in 10 F&O traders lose. This is the honest account of why.

Not a scare line — a regulatory finding. Everything here exists to close the gap between that finding and the decisions that cause it.

What this actually is

Top 10% Trader is an options-trading education brand for India — a beginner book, an Advanced series, a book on what not to do, a companion Trade Journal (paperback and a free web tool), and this site. Written by Henil Dedhia. No tips, no calls, no signals, no "buy this now." The teaching device underneath all of it is simple: grade the decision, not the outcome. A good decision can lose money. A bad one can get lucky and win. Over a hundred trades, only good decisions survive — and almost nobody grades themselves that honestly on their own.

Why this exists

Most trading education tries to fix the 90%-lose problem by teaching one more strategy. That's backwards. The actual fix is a short, boring list of ordinary mistakes — removed, not compensated for with a cleverer setup. Sizing errors, revenge trading, FOMO, information traps, and the meta-mistake underneath all of them: never writing any of it down. This brand is built around removing those, not adding techniques on top of an undisciplined process.

What this is not

Not investment advice. Not a signals service. Not a tip group. Not a promise that anyone here beats the market. "Top 10% Trader" describes disciplined process — the kind that survives — not a performance ranking or a guarantee of returns.

The compliance posture, stated plainly

Henil Dedhia is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst. Nothing published under this brand — the books, the journal, this site, the newsletter — is personalized advice, and nothing ever will be sold as such. Examples are hypothetical or clearly illustrative. Trading in F&O carries a high risk of loss; if you want advice tailored to your own situation, talk to a SEBI-registered adviser. That's not a disclaimer bolted on for legal cover — it's the actual shape of the product. An education brand that starts making individualized calls has stopped being an education brand.

How the numbers work

The Trade Journal's scoring — Discipline grade, Good Loss / Bad Win, Consistency — is plain arithmetic and rule-checks, not AI and not a black box. No model judges your trades; a checklist does, and the checklist is the same one printed in the books. It was validated by reproducing the Pro journal's own worked examples exactly, number for number. You can audit it yourself in thefree tool — nothing you type there ever leaves your browser.
